Following the E2COMATION activities on requirements and system analysis modelling processes for a filling line of the MAHOU brewery, one of the use case owners in the project, are commencing. The objective is to create a holistic line simulation covering all process steps from de-palletizing empty cans via filling down to packaging and shipment. The model will cover logistic aspects such as batch sizes, equipment reliabilities, maintenance staff plus environmental aspects comprising several resources such as electrical energy, compressed air, water, steam, and CO2. It is intended to integrate the model into the overall data exchange of the E2COMATION ecosystem thereby extending it from a line simulation model to a digital twin of the filling line. The joint efforts to accomplish this objective have successfully been started over summer, despite some restrictions imposed by the ongoing pandemic situation.
